Edwards update: fractued left collarbone, surgery needed

Colin Edwards was incredibly unlucky to have been wiped out by a charging Randy DePuniet on the CRT Aspar Aprillia in this afternoons qualifying in Estoril. After the turn four incident the Texan forward racing rider will have surgery on his collarbone injury in Barcelona, and will be replaced by Alex DeAngelis for Monday testing as he has ridden the bike before.

Hopefully Edwards injury won’t have been worsened by the amount of times he has had collarbone injuries in his career and he will be back racing soon, he has after all ridden not logf after such injuries in the past, with the aid of painkillers!
