Just days after announcing the end of their long running sponsorship with snack company San Carlo the Gresini Team have revealed that for the next three years their sponsor will be energy drink makers Go & Fun.
Now running under the moniker of Go & Fun Honda Gresini, the deal sees the team return to a black paint job, last seen after the passing of Marco Simoncelli, with San Carlo the bikes were normally predominantly white.
The deal covers both the two-man MotoGP squad (one Honda RC213V ridden by Alvaro Bautista and a CRT for Michele Pirro’s unnamed replacement) and Gresini’s Moto3 effort.
The Go & Fun logo was present on the teams bikes at the final round of 2012 in Valencia, they had also been visible in Phillip Island, Sepang, Motegi and Misano, where they also sponsored the Marc VDS team in Moto2.
Fausto Gresini, team manager announced the deal:
“I am proud to be able to announce our main sponsor for the next three seasons. Bruno Bollini is a guy with great passion for sport and he has the same approach to life and business as myself so I think we can create something special together. We are sure GO & FUN GREEN ENERGY can give our team a natural boost in the future. We are on the verge of an exciting new era in MotoGP and Moto3 so to have such a major new partner believing in our team is extremely important for us.”
