MotoGP: Ducati 2013 livery revealed- plus Pramac!

Ducati have used the annual Ducati/Ferrari press event Wrooom for a snow covered unveiling of the paint job they will be running for the forthcoming 2013 MotoGP season on the bikes of Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso.

Also present was the Pramac team (Ben Spies, Andrea Iannone), who will be running with factory support and  who’s paint scheme is an inverted version of the factory team, with slightly different sponsors too.

Dovi has chosen to run with 04 instead of just 4, no-one seems sure why, it looks a little confusing from a distance as it could be mistaken for 84 at speed.

The paintwork appears to be a little closer to the red the fans love instead of the orangier hue used while Valentino Rossi was in the team, and using inverted colours for Pramac makes the team feel nice and uniform, a nice touch to cement their new factory backing.

  1. I think this is perhaps one of my favourite moments in a season: the beginning that is. There is so much excitement, livery, colours, expectations!!!! It’s like Christmas 🙂 Also really like Pramac’s colours. They are going to stand out!

    1. That’s exactly it, it’s like permission to get all excited about bikes again.
Agree about the Pramac bikes, crazy as it’s basically the same paint job inverted but their bikes just look so much cooler this season!!
Not sad to see the back of the ‘flying bogey’ green look for them 🙂
