Aragon just so happens to be the scene of the 16-year-old Estrella Galicia Junior Team riders first win, the first for any female rider in any class of the Spanish Championship.

For the win, she had her motor racing family present, good friend and mentor Go & Fun Gresini rider Alvaro Bautista was in the paddock and also commentated on the race, while fellow Estrella rider in Moto3 in the World Championship Alex Rins was her ‘umbrella boy’.

The 16-year-old is currently third in the Moto3 class of the Spanish championship for the Estrella Galicia Junior Team with 43 points, only ten points adrift of leader Marcos Ramirez with four races remaining.

It is her second season racing in the Moto3 class of the CEV.

Alvaro Bautista has been instrumental in getting her career moving in the right direction, he is also her training partner and financial backer and according to his interview with gpone, the man who introduced her to Emilio Alzamora, the Estrella Galicia and Monlau Competiticion team and school owner and the man who bought you Marc Marquez and future stars like his younger brother Alex Marquez and Alex Rins, who currently ride for him in Moto3.

Bautista told the Italian publication:

I had recommended her to Alzamora, because I knew she was good. It’s a bit like me, she is a racer who wants to understand everything, she isn’t good ‘by chance’, because she rides for the sake of it. Emilio offered her a chance and her talent did the rest”.

The Aragon round of the Moto3 championship takes place on the weekend of 27-29 September.
