Assen raced on a Sunday for the first time ever and the iconic track had some fitting history making racing to celebrate, with a new winner in every class on a day dominated by the wet weather.

Moto3

Moto3 saw Francesco Bagnaia take his first world championship win in a tight Dutch Grand Prix at Assen only decided in the drag to the line as his Aspar machine pulled ahead of his rivals after taking the cleanest line on the last lap.

It was also a momentous day for his Mahindra team, as it registered a first win for the Indian manufacturer since entering championship action.

Looking sure of the win until the final corner it was Andrea Migno who lost out at the chequered flag, before the Sky Racing Team VR46 rider lost out further, being demoted a place for exceeding the track limit heavily in the run to…
