Moto3 and Moto2 qualifying: Germany- Bastianini and Nakagami both score late poles

Following the break after Assen, MotoGP returns this weekend at the Sachsenring for the German Grand Prix.

The changeable conditions in Assen brought three new winners and with rain predicted for race day again qualifying position could prove crucial. Here’s how the sessions panned out in Moto2 and Moto3 – complete with injury updates.

Moto3

Enea Bastianini rose to the top in Moto3 qualifying for the GermanGP after a lengthy delay to qualifying from oil on track.

The Gresini charge leapt to the top of the timesheets right at the end of the session to take pole by a fair margin, pushing out long-term leader Andrea Locatelli.

The Leopard rider still secured a best ever qualifying result. Rookie Aron Canet took the final front row spot for Estrella Galicia.
